Terms of service

The service

VoiceLab lets you record or upload voice clips, view acoustic measurements (pitch, resonance, intonation), track practice over time, and optionally receive AI-generated practice notes. The service is for personal voice practice—not clinical, legal, or employment decisions about how others perceive you.

Your account

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your password secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
• Do not share your login or use the service for unlawful, abusive, or automated scraping purposes.

Your content

You retain ownership of recordings and notes you upload. You grant us a limited license to store, process, analyze, and display your content back to you (and to people you explicitly share a link with) so the service can operate.

Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that violates others’ privacy or rights.

Scores, AI notes, and disclaimers

Measurements and percentages are automated estimates from audio—not judgments of identity, gender, health, or how listeners will react. Results vary with microphone, room, passage, and health. Do not rely on the service for medical, surgical, or mental-health decisions.

Optional AI practice notes are generated from metrics summaries, not from listening to your audio as a human coach would. They may be inaccurate or incomplete. Use them as practice ideas, not guarantees.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Use the service to harass others or distribute malware.
• Circumvent storage, rate, or access limits.
• Resell or commercially exploit the service without our permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or pose risk to the service or other users.

Storage, retention, and export

Audio may be removed after a retention period while metrics remain. Storage and upload limits apply. You can delete recordings or your entire account from the app, and request a personal data export from Profile settings. See the Privacy policy for details.

Fees

If we offer paid plans in the future, pricing and billing terms will be shown before you subscribe. Until then, any beta or free access may change or end with reasonable notice.

Availability and changes

We strive for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify features, limits, or these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is.” We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on scores or AI notes. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or USD $50 if you have not paid anything).
